O Ministério da Saúde e um grupo de especialistas se reúnem na segunda-feira para discutir um programa para aconselhamento de mulheres que decidiram abortar. Formada por médicos, antropólogos, juristas e cientistas sociais, a comissão vai sugerir a formulação de uma cartilha, com orientações para que o procedimento seja feito com segurança. O material deverá conter alertas sobre sintomas que podem sugerir complicações no procedimento, como febre e sangramento.
“A intenção é fecharmos o material de orientação em, no máximo, um mês”, afirmou o coordenador do Grupo de Estudos sobre o Aborto da Sociedade Brasileira para o Progresso da Ciência (SBPC), Thomaz Gollop.
A rodada de discussão termina no fim do mês, em São Paulo. O formato final do programa será definido pelo ministério. A cartilha conteria, por exemplo, informações para mulher escolher o lugar do procedimento.
“Recomendações, por exemplo, para ela observar a higiene do local, a pessoa encarregada do procedimento. Em suma, a pessoa deve fugir dos serviços de fundo de quintal”, disse Gollop.
O grupo foi convidado pela pasta para preparar um programa de redução de danos para aborto, a exemplo do que ocorre no Uruguai e na Cidade do México, para reduzir a morte de mulheres por complicações. Integrante do Movimento Católicas pelo Direito de Decidir, Rosângela Talib, admite a dificuldade: “Sem mudanças, seria o mesmo que encaminhar a paciente para o primeiro camelô da esquina.”
“Não é um sistema para incentivar o aborto, mas aconselhar a mulher que já tomou sua decisão”, afirma Rosângela. O aconselhamento, completa, é uma reivindicação antiga do movimento feminista.
Em nota, a pasta diz manter uma política para orientar profissionais no atendimento de intercorrências clínicas relacionada à gravidez e o processo precisa ser constantemente aprimorado.
